Pakoštane
Pakostane is a harmonious Dalmatian place with rich biodiversity nestled between the sea and the lake. Blue and green, salty and sweet are the most picturesque epithets of this place. Pakoštane is a small village, situated in the heart of the Adriatic coast in a unique position between the sea and the Vransko jezero lake. It is surrounded with 5 national parks (Paklenica, Kornati, Plitvice Lakes, Krka, North Velebit).

At several places there are remains of an ancient settlement; below the cemetery, near the sea, founded a Roman villa, and in the sea the remains of a Roman breakwater. One branch of the Roman aqueduct that ran from Vrana to Zadar, was moved to Pakoštane.
